Camiño da Serpe transmits the strength of a rebellious nature. In our kitchens we manage to be mediators between that extraordinary natural world and the dish.

When you get to your destination you will find a white building, inspired by the whitewashed houses of the sailors; a bunker which spread the strength of the place by itself, such as a concrete and glass Pandora box unable to keep its secret.

2.º step

When you get inside, in the dinning room, you feel as if nature had been subdued, as if a tamer were able to control the natural textures to enlighten us. Light, the main element of the building, makes us feel inside and outside at the same time. That particular game appears in the first two appetizers … Now we caress the stripe skin menu and decide how long we want our trip to last; let’s go…

At the table, the five meters tall concrete beams that rise at the sides turns on an unimportant detail before the immensity of the estuary. Dishes will be sequenced at the pace of the small boats entering and leaving the harbour of Raxó, carrying in and out the joyful and sad mystery of the ones who come and go.

Outside, nature rules. 15,000 m of garden are home to more than 200 different tree species that grow – some cultivated and others wild – and which are home to rabbits, roe deer, foxes and wild boars as well as countless birds of passage, lizards, stag beetles, worms, crickets and many others. who are the true inhabitants of the Camiño da Serpe.

At the kitchen garden you will find the aromatic secret of many dishes: petals, stems, roots and leaves that fasten Pepe Vieira’s cuisine to the land and give them the ancestral and profound sense of those who deep their roots in the land.
