Horta | Restaurante Pepe Vieira | «A última cociña do mundo»

Our organic garden was created in 2008 and is home to the aromatic and colourful secret behind many of our dishes: petals, stems, roots and leaves that anchor Pepe Vieira’s cuisine to its land and give it that deep, ancestral sense of rooting oneself in one’s homeland.

This is how something that has been going on for years becomes something current; from a simple task to a creative process from start to finish, made with local produce grown in our garden, just 100 metres from the Hotel (Restaurant).

It is a 360º process. Each step is always taken for a reason, converting what is usually seen as waste into fertilizers to help grow seasonal produce, cared for daily by our grower, Cristina.
